Who should attend

This course is designed for delegates who are required to carry out work at heights.

Objectives

On successful completion of this training course the delegates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of working at heights. In addition to this they will have knowledge of:

  • Working at Heights regulations
  • Employee duties and responsibilities
  • Overview of personal full protection
  • Planning and organising working at heights
  • How to avoid risks from working at heights
  • Fragile surfaces and falling objects
  • How to complete an inspection report
  • Duties of the person working at height

Learning approach

60% theory based using PowerPoint presentations, demonstrations, video and open discussion.
40% practical using scenarios and team working.
At the end of the course delegates will undertake a theory assessment to demonstrate their understanding of Working at Height principles.

Pre-requisites

None required, although a brief theory and practical assessment is undertaken at the end of the course and so it must be highlighted prior to the booking if delegates require any additional support.
