SMTH (Signal Maintenance Testing Handbook) Recertification pre-practical theory test

Who should attend

This event is only for qualified SMTH testers who intend to complete the SMTH practical recertification within the next 12 months.

Objectives

The objective of this session is to provide the individual with an opportunity to complete the pre-practical theory test prior to their practical assessment.

This event has proven popular to reduce the stress on the day of the practical session and provides an opportunity for a second and third attempt of the test to be completed prior to the practical assessment if required. Please note, no training is permitted with this event.

Learning approach

This is a controlled theory test only and no training is provided on the day. A well-prepared individual would review relevant sections within the SMTH and SMS prior to attending.

The event consists of registration and ID / SMTH card checks followed by one hour theory assessment under exam conditions. The papers are then marked and results provided to delegates.
