Who should attend

The course is designed for individuals who already have the knowledge/training of EBI 200 track circuits. 

The EBI 400 conversion course is for first line faulting and maintenance staff who require the knowledge of how to test open line and station area track circuits.

Objectives

On successful completion of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the difference between EBI 200 and EBI 400 track circuits
  • Understand the principles and operations of EBI 400 track circuits
  • Be capable of setting up the EBI 400 track circuit
  • Complete maintenance testing on the EBI 400 track circuit to the latest SMS
  • Complete relevant maintenance record cards correctly and check to relevant standards

Learning approach

30% classroom based theory with PowerPoint presentation, scenarios and active discussions

70% practical sessions including trainer demonstration, hands on set up process, full testing and documenting on record cards.

Pre-requisites

Delegates will need to provide evidence that they have attended EBI 200 training prior to attending this course.
