TASS Balise Appreciation

Who should attend

Delegates who are required to remove and refit the TASS Balise due to track renewal works, theft or damage.

Objectives

On successful completion of this course delegates will be able to:

Describe what a TASS Balise is and its use trackside
Follow the current up to date procedures for installation of the TASS Balise
Select the appropriate SMTH test plan for removal and refitting of the TASS Balise
Understand the importance of the correct labelling of the TASS Balise
Describe where to find relevant TASS Balise positioning forms and complete to NWR standards

Learning approach

100% classroom based with interactive discussions, hands on scenarios and Power Point presentation

A theory assessment will be carried out to verify delegates understanding and a certificate will be issued to candidates achieving a minimum 80% pass mark.

Pre-requisites

A good working knowledge of the railway infrastructure with hands on S & T experience trackside.

SMTH is required for those delegates who intend to remove and refit the TASS Balise.
