Infinity Training and Assessing can offer a variety of signalling training courses at either our own premises in Horsley Cross or at our customers' premises (subject to the correct material/equipment being available).

The instructors provided will be highly experienced in the technical subject and either be working towards the recommended level 4 trainer qualification or will have already achieved this or higher.

Asbestos Awareness

Who should attend
This course is suitable for candidates who may work in areas where asbestos containing materials (ACMs) may be present.

Objectives
On successful completion of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
  • Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Category A)
  • Preventing exposure to the fibre where possible
  • Minimising risks and keeping exposure below a controlled limit
  • Assuming all materials contain asbestos unless there is evidence to the contrary
  • Maintaining records of location and condition of asbestos materials
  • Assessing risks of anyone being exposed to fibres from asbestos type materials
  • Undertaking work activities in a safe manner and without risk to themselves or others

Learning approach
The course is classroom based with PowerPoint presentation, scenarios and group discussions.
A multiple choice assessment checks the course objectives have been met.

Pre-requisites
None required although a theory assessment is undertaken at the end of the course and so it must be highlighted prior to booking if delegates require additional support.
